Kristina
Kristina decided to leave the corporate world and follow her passion and train to be a Pilates Instructor in 2020 after falling in love with the Reformer. Working at a fully equipped boutique Pilates Studio in the UK like our own, she then added the full Pilates equipment to her training and has her full comprehensive certification through JPilates Training and Education.
She prioritises keeping up with her own personal practice as she never feels more present in mind and body then when she is participating in a Pilates class. She loves the Cadillac, hanging upside down and the full body stretch and strength that good quality Pilates offers. Kristina thinks pulling straps is the new lifting weights.
She likes to give lots of cues during her teaching and really wants each client to connect to their body and feel good and supported in every exercise.
Olivia
Olivia brings her fun and technical approach to teaching Pilates, leaning into her background as a professional dancer, using attention to detail as well as creating a beautiful flow. She has just moved to Sydney after living and teaching in Bristol for the past 7 years. Olivia owned and ran her own rehabilitation focused Pilates studio as well as teaching group mat classes across Bristol. She qualified from Polestar Pilates Comprehensive course in 2020 and previously qualified with STOTT Pilates training in mat work in 2017. Expect classes to be mindful, focused, challenging but all round enjoyable.
Lucy
Lucy is a barre and pilates instructor who discovered her passion for barre and pilates provided invaluable balance whilst working in demanding roles as a fashion designer. Growing up with a love for ballet and movement, she discovered the Balancemoves studio over a decade ago, and under Renee’s guidance, she was hooked. Her love for Barre and pilates, coupled with her natural flair for working with people, led her to pursue training as an instructor.
She left the high-pressure fashion industry to set up her own locally made women's wear clothing label, and found that teaching Barre, Pilates, and Reformer provided the perfect balance for her life.
Jess
Jessica is originally from the U.K but now calls Sydney home. After spending 10 years as a professional dancer she knew she needed to take steps to find her next career. Having practiced Pilates to rehabilitate dance injuries she knew she was already passionate about the technique so in 2014 she trained and certified with STOTT to teach Reformer. She taught across two studios in London before relocating to Sydney. While finding her feet in Sydney she stumbled across Lagree a Pilates hybrid taught on the Megaformer. She was immediately hooked and successfully applied and trained to teach Lagree classes at Physicore. Throughout her 5 years teaching in Sydney she has added training in Barre Attack, Barre Body Mat Pilates , Pre & Post Natal Pilates with APPI and is currently upskilling her certification to a Diploma of Professional Pilates with National Pilates Training. Her teaching style in supportive but challenging and she believes everyone should make space in their physical training plan for Pilates regardless of age or ability.
Lena
Lena moved to Australia in 2023 for her doctorate at UNSW. She grew up close to Joseph Pilates’ home town Mönchen-Gladbach, in Germany, learning about health and fitness from a young age from her parents. She learned teaching Pilates along studying for her first degree in marine biology. Together with her mother, who had her own Pilates Studio, Lena attended conferences and learned from Pilates Instructors around the world, for example Lolita San Miguel (who was taught by Joseph Pilates himself), Kathy Corey, Brett Howard and many others. While enjoying many different sports, like field hockey, ballet, skiing, surfing and running, she values Pilates as a way of realigning the body through a balance between strengthening and elongating the muscles, as well as focusing and calming the mind.
